RaspBerry Pi Mods and Housing

Oright.... we all know RaspBerrys are cheap, tiny and pretty cool. But some people still don't know how cool they really are. So I surfed a bit and found some nice mods and housings. Inspired me on my own projects.

Here is my personal Top Notch Over Mods Top #3 and some other cool mods / housings:
(I know I ended up greeding for cool compact handhelds and pocket consoles - even though there are cooler mods out there -  bu we'll come back on them some other day! *swear*)  


#3 Mame in the Slotmashine:
This dude made a beautiful case and uses the Pi as an emulator. He says he uses a Raspbian / Debian like distribution. Reminding me to RetroPi-Projekt (a multi emulator RaspBerry distribution which brings lots of emulators right out of the box with gamepad support to your RaspBerry). However. This dude also assigned controller and a display into his case. RESPECT!

#2 GamPi
Here we got a RaspBerry in a Gameboy case. Also assigned with a controller and a display. In addition this one comes up with a battery pack. I'm not sure how long this one will last without external power source but with 2 USB devices and a screen conected to it, it should at least be at 25W - 35W or what. Who knows. Still awesome! *clapclap*

#1 Pocket PiMulator
The name is freely made up by me... anyway: I don't know why he won my favorite top three. Guess because he made a really stylish Pi pocket console (Design A+). On the other hand there is even video footage avaible were someone explains step by step how to do this. As said there:

"Over the course of two 20-minutes episodes, Heckendorn shows us how to turn the 512MB Pi into a kick-ass, Linux-running portable computer that looks a bit like the GameBoy Advance."
